Sonic 3 Jumps to No. 2 in All-Time Video Game Movie Earnings

"Sonic the Hedgehog 3" has officially jumped to second place on the list of highest-grossing video game adaptations, earning $462,5 million worldwide. The movie grossed $16 million since last weekend, overtaking other major titles and securing its spot just behind the Super Mario Bros. Movie, which leads with $1.361 billion.

This marks a significant achievement for the Sonic franchise, with the trilogy’s total earnings now standing at an impressive $1.188 billion. Sonic 3 has become the highest-grossing movie of the series, raking in $230.5 million domestically and $232 million internationally.

At the global box office, with standout performances from several countries. The United Kingdom leads the charge with $29 million, followed by Mexico at $21 million, France with $18 million, Australia at $17 million, and Brazil at $12 million. br> The success of Sonic 3 can be attributed to its loyal fanbase, action-packed storyline, and the return of fan-favorite characters like Jim Carrey's iconic Dr. Robotnik.
