Sonic 3 - Jeff Fowler Talks About Jim Carrey
02 Dec 2024

By Eva Araújo (Web correspondent)

Jim Carrey is an expert in everything he does and he always gives his all to his roles. Retired or not, when the right role comes along we believe Jim won't hesitate to take it and since the Sonic movie franchise characters keeps challenge him, it's no wonder he keeps doing them.

In the upcoming Sonic 3, Jim will be playing two characters: Dr. Robotnik and his grandfather Dr. Gerald. For the later character he needed to use prosthetics that according to director Jeff Fowler, he helped design.

Fowler did an interview recently and he talked about Jim:

"I mean, not only did he come back, he came back and did twice as much work.", said the director.

Since Jim said that we would break out of retirement "….if angels bring some sort of script that's written in gold ink that says to me that it's going to be really important for people to see…", Jeff did tempt Jim with it:

"We printed it out (the script) with 24-carat ink and delivered it to his doorstep. For him to create a whole new character within the world was certainly an exciting opportunity, and he just went all in. No detail was too small. He helped design the prosthetics and everything. Talking about things to wrap your head around, having made three films with Jim Carrey, that's a real mindbender."

Okay, first… we want to see that script. It's probably worth a fortune… for having touch Jim's hands not the gold! Lol

Jokes asides, we are so excited to see double the trouble played by Jim Carrey. What a treat!

We at JCO will keep you updated as more news come.
