Alice in Wonderland... Gee, everthings upside downEver have that feeling your just not where you're supposed to be? Maybe walking through the looking glass wasn't such a great idea. That whole one pill makes you big, one pill makes you small. I hate drugs. What was that guy thinking? Maybe the drugs were the problem

Its just a book, it's a imaginary tale, and I wouldn't try to draw too many conclusions. Haven't you been to fairy land in Oakland? I don't see anything 'wrong' with Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland is a children's story.
It's a kookie story for sure, but a good one.
I think I remember reading somewhere that Lewis Carroll may have had some "extra influence" when writing the tale. ![]() I say the same about the folks who wrote the original 'Magic Roundabout' Tv series. ![]() ![]() Everybody should believe in something.
I believe I'll have another coffee! ![]()
lol.............it's common Knowledge..........lol...Carroll was off his noggin on opium............lol.....hence the opium pipe ref in it...........lol.....and the Magic Roundabout and Captain Pugwash were all the result of drugged out creative types............lol........they're great though............lol
lol....the craziest thing is no-one noticed.........lol.despite Master Bates and Seaman Stains being the main Characters...........lol......... ![]() ![]() ![]() fluffy ![]() Fluffy
I always thought that too. But perhaps not? Check this out: http://www.snopes.com/radiotv/tv/pugwash.htm Everybody should believe in something.

I was aware of the Opium connection. Opium was the drug of choice back then, "it was cool" to be stoned and hallucinating, 'it enhanced their creativity" Hmmm... and they say marijuana is great for medicinal purposes (helps nausea for cancer) well its also a carcenegenic (something that causes cancer and worse than cigarettes. So we have learned a lot since the 60's, 20 years of study can produce a lot of data; I wonder why they don't release it? Men's genitalia reduces in size, womens overies are loaded with THC and their eggs are infected. But that's nothing to worry about is it? I wonder what cocaine/Meth/heroine do to the body... I guess its just a recreational thing, too. Brain damage? Ever talk someone who's been addicted and tried to quit? What was their life like before the downward spiral? What do you think?
I have never seen that show but you reminded me of the song "Puff the Magic Dragon" A cute kid song that is really about a Marijanna trip. ![]() www.youtube.com/user/jimcarreyonline
Lets us not forget Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds... How we made it through without being addicted to drugs is a miracle. So many songs, movies, books, and references to it. Mindblowing when you think about. A lot of people are hurting, and trying to fill that void with something other than oxygen.
Call me child like but I never new except about LSD song...Puff, I had no idea, I use to sing it to my kids all the time.
Hmmm. Oxygen is the best high, just stand in the cedars and breathe in... I went for a walk to the park today, I saw a guy under a cedar tree just relaxing and quiet. We have to to enjoy the sunny days while we can.
But all we can do now is move on and make the best of the world as it is today. We should get the good out of it, and I agree leave the bad behind and "try to learn from it ."
Don't feel bad CJ. I didn't know either till I saw a interview with Peter, Paul and Mary and they talked about how Puff was a joint. This part didn't make sense to me tho
A dragon lives forever but not so little boys Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys God I am stupid. Toys= harder drugs.
And Strawberry fields! ![]() www.youtube.com/user/jimcarreyonline
Well, Lewis Carroll smoked hashish but not Opium is what I read. But I don't concern myself with that, because I'd rather enjoy the art and not worry about it. Who wants to think about it? Well we are thinking about it..but it seems so twenty years ago to talk like this. I mean this is what I heard twenty years ago, it was a big topic then....its old news.
Not Stawberry Fields toooo..........grooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
I must be very simplistic, I would go Stawberry picking with my kids and sing the song, good thing my kids didn't know about this song.... anyway... I'm still gonna take songs for their face value if I like them.. even if there is some dark unseen meaning, I've decided to take the puritanical view and enjoy it in its most unmeaning way. Se ma vie!
