Blind Dates...

Here is where you discuss everything under the sun, just keep it clean.

we don't really do blind dates much in the UK...........i'm not sure why not, they might be fun.......just getting to know someone new......there doesn't need to be fireworks for a new friendship.........

Geez, that must hurt a bit, and I've never seen Jim kiss a girl on the cheek, so I know what that must have been.
Another thing, men are more accepted as being eccentric, don't you think? And that's not really fair. Ok, I'm going to say this.....look at all Jim's co-stars, they are nothing like him. Hollywood can't take a risk on a female version of Jim, have you noticed? Maybe Jim prefers that type of female, so level and cool, but I think someone else could complement him better, its always possible.

lol..........but Jims not like his characters at home..sure he'll explore new voices and characters in privacy but he's also fairly normal......he's a dad, a writer, an actor a businessman........he's just living his life.....

I don't think Jim is ALL that normal. Its not a bad thing, being different. But what I was saying has more to do with what Hollywood wants in a woman. Can you imagine a woman doing the things Jim does on screen. And you only have to watch Jim's interviews to know some of it carries off the screen.

lol..........Jim himself says we'd be surprised at the level of normality he surrounds himself with at home.........lol......in fact he goes as far to say he lives quite a quiet life in private....whatever it takes to make him happy......he's gotta do what he's gotta do, to keep him grounded and sane........

Oh, and I wasn't talking about Jim at home anyway, so I don't know how you made that jump. I was talking about a co-star by the way, not something more. So I don't know about Jim at home.

I guess no one agrees with me so far about the female eccentric thing, I thought some of you would, since a few people have called themselves female versions of Jim Carrey. I guess I believe in equality of the sexes.

We are all individuals, spank you very much  I think a female could be as wacky as Jim on screen, but she'd have to be able to tone it down....you know not to freak everyone out. But I think it would be good.

Funny women are funny women. Why TRY to be the female "Jim Carrey"?

No, but no one tries to be like that, if they described themselves that way its because they are probably like that. Its not a literal translation....its figuratively speaking. They're just being themselves...

I *do* totally agree with you that Jim is different. I have difficulty every time I type "Jim"...because he's not my neighbor, ya know?

He is definitely a different kind of thinker...there have been a few comments I've read in interviews that make me kind of disconcerted, because I can totally identify...but would not have had the words to describe things as well as he does.

Well, its hard to type Jim Carrey Jim Carrey Jim Carrey too.....lol, I hope he doesn't mind us typing that, you know just Jim

I don't concentrate as much on the second half of what you said. I thought Jim was doing very well, not too depressed, etc. I hope you are well too. I struggle too, sometimes I don't feel well, so I let the housework go, and try not to 'beat' myself up about it (not literally). I can't sit there and clean, clean, clean. But it still bothers me. Actually today I did I bunch. I try not to use caffeine, but sometimes I still do, because I don't use any other drugs, Prozac, etc so that's all I have. So blind dates , no ....lol lol
