I'm sure people could challenge them. They need to be challenged sometimes. "When in doubt, tell the truth."
Mark Twain
I'm very happy about the decision, because I don't smoke, and I hate the smell. My Mum, sister, and some of my friends smoke, and I hate it. I hate going into a pub and not being able to breathe, so, pardon the pun, but this really is a breath of fresh air for non smokers.

Well, personally, I hope it does work. It seems to have been gradually phased out in a lot of places already.
Mind you, I guess it still may fail. The fox hunting ban didn't exactly work a treat...... ![]() Everybody should believe in something.
I believe I'll have another coffee! ![]()
They passed that law a long time ago out here in the US. I think it is great. Cause I don't think it is fair that us non smokers should have to worry about getting cancer from second hand smoke.

Canada is Smoke Free too.....in public places.
I think it's a good thing for Non-smokers, but there is a struggle for those who do, where do they smoke then? Outside, is it fair? There should be a community smoke house, only thing is then the fire insurance sky rockets for the place. It's not good for you but they also should have the freedom to choose.
Do you smoke?? Because if you do then you should be thanking them for saving your life. Not to mention the life of many others around you. Second hand smoke is more dangerous than first hand smoke, and inhaling second hand smoke increases the chance of breast cancer by 40%. I think that America should become non-smoking too. A lot less people would die. ![]()
No, I don't but I still care....my mom smoked all her life, but I told her I would never light her
cigarette even if she was on her death bed. She'd humpf at me.. finally it came to a point when she could not even light one herself.. I lived with second hand smoke all my life, except when I left home, but I would always leave the room so my mom and I never talked much. Maybe that's where we missed out, perhaps smoking doesn't just cause cancer it partions people, no communication. Builds a wall between smokers and non-smokers.
Yes, I smoke. And I feel there ought to be establishments that cater to smokers AND non-smokers. I have no problem with the little cafe in town being smoke free. But I have a problem with all pubs in Britain being smoke free. I don't know how it'll affect their business...I started smoking in England because it was a case of "if you can't beat em, join em." "When in doubt, tell the truth."
Mark Twain
[/quote] More like ' if you can't beat them, kill yourself with them' Hey, it is freedom of choice...but why would you choose one of the slowest forms of suicide there is? Plus, isn't there a better way to spend your money? ![]()
