way to go Quirky...I wish I had a better grip on the quiting smoking than I do right now...soon, one hurdle at a time....

I find that when it's hot I don't smoke nearly as much....you could always have popcicles when a craving hits....

I can already smell the lilacs and other smells I'd been missing.

I'm 36 and I've smoked for half of my life. I can't afford it...I can't say I've really ENJOYED it lately...dunno....

The G Guild performs in an open air amphitheatre in a local park. So the locale of the auditions was splendid. Nice breeze, etc. But you are auditioning for everything at once. First I did Ariel's monologue from the Tempest....then over to the Greek area to read Antigone...then back to the Shakespeare to read Miranda opposite what's his name.

All cold readings. We had a few minutes to read them and get an idea and then BAM! on you go!

I was surprised. I wasn't that nervous...but I did have to do some deep breathing. I didn't know a soul...and there were probably 30 people there.

This is the organization's 50th anniversary.

Whoah, that sounds pretty heavy going. Doing them cold like that. :shock:

Still, a few Marlboro's is a bit of a bummer. Just a blip though huh? Are you carrying on again as of now? :wink:
