Favorite Recipe - I'm going to a BBQ

I always make the same stuff. Aside from salads, or my 'dream dip' Marshmellow cream/cream cheese whipped into a dip with fresh cut fruit. I"m looking for something new.... Any ideas?

shove chocolate chunks into bananas and wrap in tinfoil and roast them on the barbie...........then serve with good ice cream.........yum yum!

I've always made either Chineses Chicken Salad w/macadamia nuts or cashews; a walking taco salad, spinich dip or some fresh fruit pie. But I wanting to make something different and not premade from Costco. I'm bored so I'm looking to update my quick recipes for potlucks book. I love cooking so.... well there it is.

STRAWBERRY PRETZEL DESSERT

BOTTOM LAYER:

2 c. crushed pretzels
1 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. butter, melted

Pour melted butter over pretzels. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch dish for 8 minutes at 400 degrees and cool.

MIDDLE LAYER:

1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 c. sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip, or whipped topping

Mix and spread over pretzels.

TOP LAYER:

6 oz. strawberry gelatin
2 c. boiling water

Let cool stir in 2 cups frozen strawberry pour it over cheese layer chill dessert until ready to eat.
