I just saw this on the news, but I remeber seeing it when I was a kid (even though I was born after 1957).

A BBC news reporter did a story on spaghetti trees. He then showed a short film on the spaghetti "harvest" It was so convincing people thought it was real. The story and video of the film can be found here:

Almost as good as Orson Wells radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds" hoax.

I once told my co-workers I was fed up and was going to quit if one more person asked me a question. They tip-toed around me until one of them looked at the calendar.

Peter Jackson posted last year that he was going to do a sequal to King Kong......which wasn't true. The funny thing about it is that sooooo many people bought it until Jackson clarified that it was a joke.

i almost pulled one at work. i was going to tell my friend Will to go sit a top of the milk refrigerator and be a human survallence camera. but when i pitched it to my boss....i got turned down.
