Michael Dukakis also came to our school. Which was amazing cause he was running for President at the time. The out come was a lot better too.lol

Hey Laura I heard Jim came back to your school to do stand up. I also heard that the school was not happy cause he told dirty jokes. Is that true?

That is sooo cool, Laura!!! Wow...

OK, I'll post a pic. I've decided to post my pic with Jonathan Winters because I think I read that Jim likes him. I met Mr. Winters at an autograph show in L.A. in 2001. I don't remember what he said to me, but I'm pretty sure he cracked a joke, lol. Some other celebs I've been lucky enough to talk to in person include "Weird Al" Yankovic (he goes soooo out of his way for his fans, it's really unbelievable… the sweetest celebrity I've ever met!!!), Don Adams and Barbara Feldon (Agent 86 & 99 from Get Smart), Kelsey Grammar from Frasier, Cindy Williams from Laverne & Shirley, The Amazing Kreskin (he had a extremely strong handshake… I wonder if he was trying to read my mind while he was shaking my hand, lol), and oh, I might as well mention Wayne Flemming too, cause he's a good friend of Jim's! I met him way back in 1995 when I was an assistant stage manager for a comedy festival called the Ha!ifax Comedy Fest and he was one of the performers. I wish I could remember what we talked about, but I really don't remember anything except that he was friendly and very nice to me. Anyway, I have been very fortunate. I would loooove to meet Jim someday!!!

Oh yeah, I have to figure out how to post an image. Arrrgh! Maybe I will post this first and then figure it out... lol... sorry, I'm new at this...[/img]

Ohh, forgot to say, whilst we're on the subject of American politicians, I got within spitting distance of Bill Clinton once. On his campaign trail in Texas (or was it Colarado, I forget now) just before he was voted in - 1992.

Me and Janet Jackson! :D

Postby cable girl » Thu Jun 29, 2006 11:13 am

I met Janet Jackson on her birthday the 16th of May 1998, so I'm 19 years old on this photo! (8 years ago; phiew - time flies!!) I won the competition that the Swedish magazine "CHILI" did. It was about what you wanted to give her as a birthday-gift if you won; and I can't believe I won with mine!! I wrote that I wanted to give her a stuffed animal that looked exactly like a black panther as I know how much she loves those (also because of her "Black Cat"-song from 1989), and this one looks sooo real (I bought one to myself too, hehe  ), too bad you can't see it on this photo; it's too dark; but you can see one of its' green eyes atleast... hehe! Oh, and I also gave her an envelope with letters from me and other fans... I wonder if she read those! :D

I'm not too fond of posting this photo here though; really not one of my best photos at all... hehe! Plus I have smaller glasses now, and look less girly and more like a woman of course! I have absolutely no make up on here (+ fake earrings 'cause I don't have them pierced at all... hehehe), so looking at this photo now still makes me feel weird 'cause Janet has so much on (due to that she was going to start her concert in Stockholm, "Globen" right after :D) so I just think I look like such a dork and so ugly on it!! Janet was sooo sweet though; she loved the panther and even thanked me twice for it, and thought it was so soft! :D She left the flowers she got from other fans in the photo-room, but she took my panther with her to the dressing room!! :D Pretty impressive, ey? :!: :D

I know!! I've been a fan of hers since I was 11 back in 1990, and it bugged my father so much during those years, he was always like "Admiring someone so much that you can't even meet!!" and "There's no way you'll be able to meet her one day even!" So when that day finally came 8 years after he was like "Ooooooh, now you can feel that your whole life is finally fulfilled, you got to meet her afterall!" and such in a sarcastic way! Haha; it was fun really, to have been right in an argument for once with him; I was like "In your face!!" Nah, just kidding!

I wonder that too actually... Wouldn't surprise me if she did though; perhaps she'd wanna save it to one of her children one day! :D
