Big weather watch

Postby Canadian Jayne » Sat Feb 04, 2006 8:30 pm

Since there are alot of weather anomolies going on lately, a change in
the norm, since we are from all over the world maybe we can all report when unusual weather or storms come our way.
Today we have a big weather watch, the storm is getting worse
north of Kitchener, south of Kincardine in Ontario, it's just a light fall now
but we'll see if it gets worse.
What about your area?

well the strange thing is it was predicted that we would have the worst winter since records began this year and it's been totally mild.........cold, freezing at times but hardly any snow............

It's very cold here, but no snow.

Aye, Great Britain: the land of decidedly unexciting weather! Lol
It's been a bit chilly this week, but I can't say much more than that!

All last month was an anomoly and so far February is no different... it's not like any other winter I've seen here... mild for eastern Canada... today went up to 8 degrees celcius... rainy weather lately...

Probably means we can expect snow in July, lol. Great. I've always wanted to build a snowman in July.

I agree with you KT, people forget how to drive in California when it rains. We are so spoiled, even mist can be dangerous. But nothing beats the Tule fog near Sacramento its a thick as pea soup, visability 5-10 feet at the most. Scares me to death, some drive through it like its 'no problem' but when you can't see past the hood of your car; oooohh I freak out.

My aunt spent her whole adult life in Alameda, Ca. She was a telephone operator and an astrologer. She passed away a few years ago. My family has quite a few connections with Alameda. My parents lived there when they were younger too, and my cousin still works at the hospital there.

Oh, and they have the best beaches there in the Bay Area. The water is warm and is shallow for a long way out.

what part of Alameda did they live at? I live near Park Street and across the street from the High School.

Well, my aunt lived right off of Lincoln. On the northwest side of the island. I don't know where my parents lived, but when I was little I remember my dad making a big deal about going over there, and he was crazy talking about the tunnel, and how it went under water.

Yes, I'm sure they did. My cousin has worked at the hospital for 25 years there in Alameda.

Yesterday it was 85 degrees here in California, today it's 65...

but they say there's no global warming!

The wind is blowing around 30 mph, a very dry wind, so it is blowing all kinds of allergin crap into the air. My sinuses are swollen, as are my eyes. I can't go more than two hours without antihistamines or I will drown in my own fluids. I feel so pretty!
