I'm not trying to get anyone mad here because what he said was awful, but what faster way to end up on the forefront of controversy...? You have to admit that all the bad press and conflict surrounding "The Passion of the Christ" only fueled the intense interest in it. Just a thought......

I'm kind of doubting it because of the DWI.

Everytime I flick on the news all I hear about is Mel Gibson. There's so much worse going on in the world today - IE people suffering - for me to no longer give a hoot in hell what Mel Gibson said when he was out of his head. It's all over AM and FM radio, too.

while i'm sure he was drunk and babbling, it seems to me that by the time it's over we'll have been won over by the bleeding heart "poor me, i've battled this for so long" crap.....and yes, we're preoccupied with it in the midst of war, poverty, and strife that we should be paying more attention to. and i'm sitting here commenting about it once again...!

Rob Schneider is now proclaiming that he will never work with Mel Gibson on account of what he said about Jews - he's also half Jewish. I don't know. Is that really punishment to know you'll never have to work with Rob Schneider in a movie? Sounds more like a blessing.
