About.com has an interesting article about "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events". The film is being shot entirely indoors (four locations) with no outdoor location sets at all. You can also read about Sunny the youngest of the three orphans. They were able to do 80 to 85% of Sunny’s shots with the real babies (Kara and Shelby Hoffman). For some of the situations in which they could not put a real baby, they used a CGI double. And read also the great interview with Director Brad Silberling. He tells how much he found Carrey’s ability helpful in developing story points.
