The Ferndale Enterprise's "Majestic" editions
31 Jul 2001

Would you like to have a copy of the twice sold-out March 15 edition of The Lawson Beacon? Well, now you can without having to fight your way through a merciless bidding war at Ebay.

The Ferndale Enterprise (once renamed Lawson Beacon for "Majestic" filming purposes) let us know that they have a 3rd reprint of this Movie Special issue available to order by mail, as it is also their yearly Souvenir Edition, which was printed May 28. Both issues have many interesting information and photos on the movie's production, and are sure to become great collector's items.

The 16-page "Lawson Beacon" Special Movie Edition, includes an exclusive cover interview with Frank Darabont, where the director talks about Jim Carrey, and the reasons behind choosing Ferndale, among other topics. Also featured on the issue are pictures of the main cast, ads from local companies thanking Castle Rock, and photos documenting the several construction phases of the outdoor sets built in the village.

On The Ferndale Enterprise's yearly Souvenir Edition, you will find many photos taken during production of "The Majestic", including a wonderful shot of Jim Carrey standing in front of the newspaper's office, as show on the right side picture below, courtesy of The Ferndale Enterprise.
