Will Carrey be Scared?

Variety / Reuters reports that Robert De Niro is negotiating to take on the lead in the comedy "Scared Guys", a Columbia Pictures project directed by Dean Parisot.
Allegedly, Jim Carrey had initially been favored for the role of an agoraphobic therapist who treats clients over the internet to avoid leaving his apartment. When the obsessive-compulsive falls in love with a female police dispatcher who is working across the street and observes her becoming the target of a murder complot, he and his equally disturbed roommate decide to actually exit their home after six years of isolation to save her. Should De Niro really agree to play the part, we could still hope that Jim Carrey finds interest in co-starring as his agoraphobic roommate. De Niro is also co-producing the picture, which is scheduled to hit theaters in winter.
Carrey starring beside De Niro in a truly psychotic role? A wonderful idea, we think!
