Jim Carrey Wins at the Critics Choice Super Awards
11 Jan 2021 By Lucas Allen (Web correspondent)
Last Sunday night, the first ever Critics Choice Super Awards aired on the CW with host Kevin Smith. As expected, the presentation was done remotely due to the pandemic, but a lot of awards were still given out that night.
Congratulations to Jim Carrey winning Best Villain in a Movie for playing Dr. Robotnik in 2020's "Sonic the Hedgehog". He accepts the award from his LA home as he gives a little acting. The movie was nominated for four different awards, including an overall nomination in Best Superhero Movie, and nominations for both Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz in the Best Actor in a Superhero Movie. The one win by Jim is all the film scored.
We look forward to him reprising his award-winning role as "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" begins production pretty soon.
