R.I.P. Sonny Mehta
02 Jan 2020 By Eva Araújo (Web correspondent)
Mr. Sonny Mehta was "the urbane and astute head of Alfred A. Knopf who guided one of the book world's most esteemed imprints to new heights through a blend of prize-winning literature by Toni Morrison and Cormac McCarthy among others and blockbusters such as "Fifty Shades of Grey" and "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,".
We have to admit we didn't know who it was until recently… He owned the publishing company that will print Jim Carrey's Biography novel "Memoirs and Misinformation",
Unfortunately, he died 2 days ago and Jim himself paid his respects to him by Twitter:
The publishing world has lost a giant today. Sonny Mehta loved books and writers and the music of words. He was a champion of ideas and a gentleman. I am honored to have been one of his authors and my heart is with his family. His contribution to our culture is incalculable. pic.twitter.com/FuqF2wKZe2

We would like to send our condolences to Mr. Mehta family and friends.
We at JCO will keep you updated as more news come.
