The filming date for the series "I'm Dying Up Here", in which Jim Carrey is one of the executive producers, is getting closer and more cast members have been added to the rest of the cast.
Sarah Hay will play Tawny, the volatile young girlfriend of the newest comic at Goldie's comedy club, Nick Beverly (Jake Lacy).
W. Earl Brown will be Teddy, Goldie's (Melissa Leo) greatest rival in the L.A. comedy club scene.
Jere Burns who stars on the TBS comedy "Angie Tribeca," will appear in one episode, guest starring as Sid Robbins, the ex-husband to Leo's character, who is desperately still trying to hit it big in stand-up.
Jocko Sims will also appear as a guest star in one episode, playing Melvin, Ralph's (Erik Griffin) old Army buddy who returns to town bearing the scars of war.
The shooting of this series will start in the Fall, although there's no official date yet. "I'm Dying Up Here" will show us the 1970's comedy club scene and the comics who will both struggle and succeed.
We are very excited for this project and we can't wait for the first trailer to come out.
The JCO team will keep you updated as more news come.
