It seems like the pre-production of the Showtime TV show "I'm Dying Up here", is in full mode! In a previous article we mention some of the talents who will show us the comedy scene of the 1970's and today six more have been added to the list.
Robert Forster, Cathy Moriarty, Alfred Molina (SpiderMan 2, Chocolat) who will play a "marginal at best" talent manager named Carl, Al Madrigal will play a "loose canon comedian named Edgar, Dylan Baker will play Johnny Carson and lastly, Jon Daly will play a struggling comic named Arnie.
Jim Carrey is one of the executive producer along with Dave Flebotte (who is also a writter for the series), Michael Aguilar, and Christina Wayne for Endemol Shine Studios and Assembly Entertainment.
The production will according to our sources start this week for the pilot episode. It will be directed by Jonathan Levine.
To be noted it that the show is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by William Knoedelseder.
We are so excited about this project! We really can't wait to see it.
We at JCO will keep you updated as more news come.
