"The World Ain't Slowin' Down"
21 May 2000

by M.T. Moura

Click here for the Ellis Paul website "The world ain't slowin' down." These are the words you'll most likely be humming while you exit the theater next June 23, as they belong to the lyrics of "Me, Myself and Irene"'s love theme.

"The World Ain't Slowin' Down", by Ellis Paul, is a very beautiful ballad with soft and masterfully performed lyrics. It's also one of those songs that turn into addictive listening faster than you can say "Multiple Personality Disorder!" The song, hand-picked by Peter Farrelly and featured on the "Irene" soundtrack, will be heard several times during the movie, including its closing credits.

Ellis Paul is a Maine native and currently Boston-based singer, songwriter and poet. With a vast song repertoire and a 5 album discography, Ellis Paul has performed in numerous stages all over the United States from Carnegie Hall, the Newport Folk Festival, to hundreds of clubs and coffeehouses. "The World Ain't Slowin' Down" was first released on Ellis' 4th album, "Translucent Soul" and again on his recently released 2-CD set "Live".
