"Dumb and Dumber To" set visit
18 Oct 2013 By Tommy Pihl (JCO Editor-In-Chief)
This week the production of the Farrelly-brothers upcoming comedy "Dumb and Dumber To" filmed scenes at the Marietta Square. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels rode a Zamboni and the intersection of West Park Square and South Park Square was closed. See photos from the days in our Gallery.
During a break of the filming they got a special visit. Jenni Gold and Robbie Heisner were in town for a screening of the documentary "CinemAbility," which takes a look at the opportunities for persons with disabilites in the film industry. In this article you can see a few photos of the meeting and a short video clip.
"CinemAbility" includes video clips from other Farrelly movies and interview segments with Peter Farrelly.
"When you hear the words documentary and disability, you might think, oh no," said Gold, the documentary's director. "We do it in a way that's entertaining and fun."
Indeed, the movie features clips from scores of movies and interviews with industry leaders including Ben Affleck, Geena Davis, Jamie Foxx, Ken Howard, Helen Hunt, William H. Macy, Garry Marshall and Gary Sinise. It is frank, thought-provoking and both serious and funny.
"Our message is important," Gold said. "It's one of inclusion, if you've ever felt excluded or stereotyped. We're trying to get the word out."
