Jim Carrey nominated for a SAG Award®
01 Feb 2000 February 1, 2000, Los Angeles - Nominations for outstanding performances inacting in 13 categories for the 6th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® were announced today (Tuesday, February 1) in Los Angeles.
Two randomly selected panels totaling 4200 SAG members from across the United States chose the nominees for television and motion pictures for outstanding performances during 1999. The secret ballots were mailed January 4, 2000 and returned by the deadline of January 28, 2000 directly to Certified Elections, the Guild’s official teller.
Ballots will be mailed on February 15, 2000 to the entire active membership of the Guild, approximately 97,000 members in 26 branches throughout the country, who will vote on all acting categories. Ballots must be returned to Certified Elections by Friday, March 10, 2000.
The Actor®, the Screen Actors Guild Awards® statuette for outstanding performances in acting, will be presented on Sunday, March 12, 2000 at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center and televised live nationally on TNT (Turner Network Television), at 8:00 PM (ET/PT), 7:00 PM Central, 6:00 PM MT.
