"Dumb and Dumber" sequel in the works
27 Oct 2011 By Tommy Pihl (JCO Editor-In-Chief)
Directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly are moving forward with their next project they have wanted to do for some time. A sequel for the comedy hit "Dumb and Dumber" (1994). They have hired Sean Anders and John Morris to write the script. They co-wrote the Anders-directed "Sex Drive" and just co-directed the Adam Sandler comedy "I Hate You Dad".
While promoting "Mr. Popper’s Penguins" in June, Jim hinted at sequels to some of his biggest hits:
"We're talking about maybe returning to some old characters that everyone
has been asking about. There's "Bruce Almighty" and we're talking about
maybe another "Dumb and Dumber."
Original producers Charles B. Wessler, Brad Krevoy and Steve Stabler will be back as producers, as will the Farrelly Brother’s longtime Conundrum Entertainment partner Bradley Thomas.
Next on Jim Carrey's list should be "Burt Wonderstone" with Steve Carell. And then the possible "Dumb and Dumber" sequel. Check back for updates on his coming projects..
