09 Apr 2010 By Tommy Pihl (JCO Editor-In-Chief)
Consolidated Pictures Group has postponed the US release date again for Jim Carrey's new movie "I Love You Phillip Morris" which was filmed in 2008! Its the fourth time the movie has been moved since it was screened at Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2009. It got good reviews. The Hollywood Reporter called it "deliciously funny" while Variety added it will leave audiences both "laughing and stunned." The bad news is that it now is postponed indefinitely.

Consolidated Pictures Group was supposed to release the movie later this month (April 30) with a limited run before expanding May 7. I think many wonder what is going on, it should not be that difficult to release a new movie with a cast of Jim Carrey, Ewan McGregor, Leslie Mann and Rodrigo Santoro. Its beginning to look amateurish. When they released the first US trailer, they had to take it down a few days later, because they hadn't bought the rights to the music used in it. The company was formed in 2008 and has not yet released a movie in US theaters.
Other fans around the world have been more lucky to get a chance to see "I Love You Phillip Morris". The following countries have already released the movie: France, Monaco, Russia, Taiwan, Belgium, Luxembourg, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Japan, United Kingdom, Ireland, Philippines, Czech Republic, Romania, Iceland, Italy and today it premieres in Norway.
Do you think we will ever see "I Love You Phillip Morris" in the US? Direct-to-DVD?
