I always say foreign language films should be subtitled, not dubbed.

Sorry, I am customary to doubled films and I enjoy much them. I know that it is sad not to see the films with Jim 100%, but to all the foreign actors the voice bends to them..... we did not discriminate against anybody, lol
Sometimes I see films subtitled in Dvd and the voices always are very similar to the original ones.

They generally try to dub the films with voices similars to the actors... sometimes you cannot tell the difference... but other times... dubbing just sucks! I was watching the Phantom of the Opera the other day and changed the language to French... Oh boy... Christine's voice sounded the same, but the rocky nice voice of the phantom was gone...!

yeah, I once listened to a bit of "man on the moon" in French, and ...that was strange and not too long ago I saw "Charlie and the chocolate factory" in Norwegian, and that was not good...Johnny Depp in Norwegian

The point is that once we go for the original voice... we always relate it to the person.. and bubbing just becomes a downer...

Well, the Jim's voice in Spanish here in México: He has a lead voice: Mario Castañeda (Liar, Liar, Ace Ventura, Batman Forever, Bruce Almighty); he is famous. The other, I don't know his name, but he worked in "Eternal Sunshine" and "Dumb and dumber" . I think this is more near than the other to Jim's voice.

The dubb would be horrible and make the movie horrible too. Here in México there are good dubbings, generally, because many of this dubbed movies, series or documentals are send to other countries in Latinoamerica.

In dvd's are other options: "Bruce Almighty" (Todopoderoso) has three dubbs; one portuguese (is strange...) and two made by mexicans. But, the point is one of them is mexican Spanish. What means? With words that use the people who lives in Distrito Federal ("Orale"-wow!, "no manches!"- don't f*, "Chido"- cool-**, etc.). About this, Is it the same in other countries? What do you say?

Now, there are other dvds with that option and it's very funny hear to Jim in Spanish, saying that things or to The Incredibles or Robots.
