It would be very interesting if there should be an actress like him.
Then again, someone like him may not create enough chemistry between them, on SCreen that is.....

What he does is uniquely masculine.

He's single, so I automatically wonder if he's gay. But I don't think so.

What happened to the whole blind date topic? Not that eccentric female actresses aren't a good topic as well. . .

I would NEVER go on a blind date, becasue at the end of the night one of two things has to happen. Either you have to accept her or you have to dump her. If you say something like maybe we should go on another date. . .then in her eye's she's been accepted and your not allowed to date anyone else becasue in some weird kinda way you two are "together", if you turn her down then you feel bad about hurting her feelings after she took such a big risk to see you in the first place. . .you just made her worst dream come true. It can work the other way around too. . .what if YOU aren't accepted? . . .The only good things that can come from it are a MUTUAL unacception or a MUTUAL second date. But the word MUTUAL is such an enormous variable when it comes to two people who just met for the first time. Luckily I will never have to go on a blind date.

BTW, What part did she play in Pet Detective?

Then I went back after Jimenen's post, and found the script on-line, and it started coming back. Wasn't the joke that she could never pass for a male because she is very feminine? I can't remember clearly....

Hi all! Long time to visit!

I've got to tell this story. I was totally single and working on a film in which "some guy" supposedly had a crush on me. I had no idea who it was, but one of the make up artists wanted to set us up. She said he was cute...which is usually a usually a downer in LA...but I figured, what the heck? What do I have to lose? So I spoke with him on the phone. First, he was calling from the gym...which bothered me. Second, he had no idea where to take me...he kept asking "what would you like to do?" Already that was annoying as I'd prefer the guy to just have a freakin' plan...but i took advantage. I figured if we met for breakfast (at the place I eat every Saturday and Sunday and I know all the people that work there) I'd be safe. No worries of the awkward dropping off at night moment where they want to come in, etc. I could always run for it and hide in the kitchen.

The day comes...he picks me up (first mistake). He's an attractive guy, no doubt, but there was absolutley NO chemistry. We had NOTHING to talk about...and I can usually find something to talk about with anyone. We sit down at the table and...wait, let me back up. There are mirrors in the resaurant...he looked at himself in every one. Ugh. Anywho, he says, "So Margot (make up artist) said your type is 'Jim Carrey'. I've been told by a lot of people that I look just like him." I wanted to scream. No, I wanted to throw up. No, I think it was more like I wanted to gag, scream, throw up and run out of there. What an idiot....to keep primping himself in the mirror, talking about his work out at the gym (pulease) and then to say he "looks" like Jim Carrey (as if that means anything) and think that that's a way to get to know someone is ridiculous.

He then takes me to the Santa Monica Pier where there are bumper cars and roller coasters, etc. We get on the bumper cars and he is annoying me so much (he kept trying to put his arm around me like we were a couple, and trying to hold my hand, etc.-look, we couldn't even have a proper conversation) and I rammed my bumper car into his so hard so many times-I was hoping he's be ejected from it. Didn't happen. As he continued trying to put his arms around me(I felt like the cat and he was Pepe le Pew) I continued to squirm away until he said "You're not a real 'touchy-feely' kind of person are you?" Oh my GOD! We just met and ate some eggs!!!!! Are you kidding me? We haven't have a real conversation the entire time! The only thing I know about him is the fact that he thinks his ars is too big so he needs to work out more! Look, if I wanted my 'significant other' to be worried about their ars, i'd date another girl, OK?! The last thing I need is a guy who "thinks" he looks like Jim Carrey, who obsesses on his looks and ars, and I can't even have a conversation with him past his work out regimine.

Needless to say, things didn't work out for us on our little blind date (my first and last, by the way). When he asked me the question about whether I was a "touchy-feely" person, I just had to tell him the truth. Although, he didn't like to hear the truth, he called me a few times (always from the gym-of course-talking about his fat ars) and I unfortunately had to run in to him on set a few times (if I wasn't hiding in my trailer). His ars really was fat, now that I think of it.

Blind dates suck.
Jim Carrey is man.
Get a grip.

The reversal of a blind date is how I would call my short story, actually my experience... When I was a teen my cousin set me up with her friend to a double date... Oh... I hated the idea, but she was my cousin and a friend and begged me to go with her, otherwise her mom would have not allowed her to go on a date by herself... OK then... that's what cousins are for ( :? ) So, we all meet for pizza in a nearby restaurant... everything went well until we were driving back home... Well, my supposed date, who wasn't my type, nice, but not my type at all... (and you know as a teenager we can still choose a type of guy ) ... tried to put his arm around me... I said "no please"... he tried again, I moved his arm away, on his third attempt I slapped his face... and my blind date together with my cousin's date ended there.

I became averse to blind dates. A few months later, I friend of mine wanted to pair me up with her boyfriend's best friend... hahahahaha... noway my dear... one awful experience was enough for me... thank you. I resisted to all her attempts and eventually she stopped insisting. One beautiful summer afternoon I saw this tall, handsome guy coming towards my friend and me... he said hi, talked to us a little while and left... he looked like a Greek god... he was definitely my type... and as you know life is funny... and so funny it is that he was the guy my friend wanted me to go out with... but that was too late...*sighs* ... he got himself a girlfriend  ... ahhh what the heck... I flirted with him and he with me for several months to come until his family moved away the following spring.

Oh... I love this story... but I am still averse to the idea of blind dates!
