I have had four songs in my head the last couple of days:
1:Bye bye miss American pie
2:You're so vain
3:I believe I can fly
4:Are you gonna be my girl
right now, David Bowie with Ashes to Ashes is playing on my TV in the background...
What are you listening right now?I have had four songs in my head the last couple of days:
1:Bye bye miss American pie 2:You're so vain 3:I believe I can fly 4:Are you gonna be my girl right now, David Bowie with Ashes to Ashes is playing on my TV in the background... "Somewhere there's someone who dreams of your smile,
and finds in your presence that life is worth while. So when you are lonely, remember it's true Somebody somewhere is thinking of you."
Brick House
Commodores Chorus: She's a brick----house Mighty might just lettin' it all hang out She's a brick----house The lady's stacked and that's a fact, ain't holding nothing back. She's a brick----house She's the one, the only one, who's built like a amazon [pronounced am-a-ka-zawn] We're together everybody knows, and here's how the story goes. 1. She knows she got everything a woman needs to get a man, yeah. How can she use, the things she use 36-24-36, what a winning hand! Chorus 2. The clothes she wears, the sexy ways, make an old man wish for younger days She knows she's built and knows how to please Sure enough to knock a man to his knees Chorus Shake it down, shake it down now (repeat) "When in doubt, tell the truth."
Mark Twain
Still 'System of a Down'. There's a song on the album I have which makes me want to just stick my arms out to the side and pretend I'm flying. Would be quite weird if I did that with my earphones in on the bus!
Their lyrics are REALLY powerful... Muse - 10, 11, 14, 22 & 23 November 2006

I am listening to Peharps Love by John Denver and Placido Domingo... so b-e-a-u-tiful!!!!
(Placido Domingo) Perhaps love is like a resting place A shelter from the storm It exists to give you comfort It is there to keep you warm And in those times of trouble When you are most alone The memory of love will bring you home (John Denver) Perhaps love is like a window Perhaps an open door It invites you to come closer It wants to show you more And even if you lose yourself And don't know what to do The memory of love will see you through (Placido Domingo) Love to some is like a cloud To some as strong as steel (John Denver) For some a way of living For some a way to feel (Placido Domingo) And some say love is holding on And some say letting go And some say love is everything And some say they don't know (John starts joined by Placido) Perhaps love is like the ocean Full of conflict, full of pain Like a fire when it's cold outside Thunder when it rains If I should live forever And all my dreams come true My memories of love will be of you (Placido Domingo) And some say love is holding on And some say letting go (John Denver) And some say love is everything And some say they don`t know (John starts joined by Placido) Perhaps love is like the ocean Full of conflict, full of pain Like a fire when it`s cold outside Or thunder when it rains If I should live forever And all my dreams come true My memories of love will be of you
I actually bought some classical piano cd's so I can listen to them at work. Mozart and Beethoven.
And out of the blue, I found myself listening to that piece that you hear on The Truman Show, in the beginning of the movie. In case you want to rush out and buy it, it's called "All Turca: Allegretto" by Mozart ( Piano Sonata in A major, K331)) Don't all go out storming the classical section at once now! The truth shall set you free.
nAt this very second I am listening to Tom Petty
These are the lyrics as I type: " I'm learning to fly, but I aint got wings I'm learning to fly around the clouds but what goes up, must come down I'm learning to fly" Now we are on "the sky was the limit. Into the great white open under the skies of blue out in the great wide open a rebel without a clue" Oh and here is Last Dance With Mary Jane: I was introduced when we first started grooving, She said I dig you baby but I got to keep moving... harmonica I don't know, but I've been told you never slow down you never grow old tired of screwing up,tired of going down, tired of myself, tired of this town Oh my my, oh hell yes you got to put on that party dress it was too cold to cry when i woke up alone I hit the last number, walked to the road... “If I'm not back in five minutes... just wait longer!” ~ Jim Carrey

My daughter and I have discovered something, at first I thought was pretty cheesy; but now we have started a collection of CDs from Target. They are cultural CDs, each one focus' on a country or culture. We have Celtic, Salsa, Mediteranean, Calypto, Japanese, Middle Eastern, Magic Flute (Classical); and a few on animal sounds to music (whales, birds, etc). My teenage daughter is in love with them (she' a nature buff and an artist, so it inspires her) I don't worry bad language in the music what a relief. I'm not a fan of rap, specifically Gangsta-rap, I think it glorifies the problem rather than solves the problem. Yes it sheds light on it, but also magnifies the isses they sing about.
