An update from Comingsoon.net -- they list January as the start date for filming ...<br><br>"According to syndicated columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith, the race to film biographies of Howard Hughes is heating up, with Jim Carrey pulling ahead of Leonardo DiCaprio.<br><br>They report that as things now stand, Carrey's film, to be directed by with Christopher Nolan (Memento), is on track to roll in January. The DiCaprio/Martin Scorsese feature has no start date and its financing is apparently still not in place.<br><br>Instead, DiCaprio may be more interested in the Alexander the Great biopic he and Scorsese dropped in favor of Hughes at the beginning of the year. They wouldn't have to compete with HBO's $120 million, 10-hour "Alexander the Great," which has been put on hold. Also, they won't be competing with Oliver Stone who had tagged Heath Ledger to play the Great Alexander. Ledger passed on the project and Stone is still looking for financing, and a star."<br> <p></p><i></i>

I think they if they keep digging on the creativity <br>maybe leo will come up with something even better<br>for himself by not doing a similiar movie. i don't think it affects Jim i do think it affects Di caprio and Scorcese though.
