Actor Christopher Reeve (52) died Sunday in NY...

Postby Jimlover1 » Mon Oct 11, 2004 7:24 am

of heart failure, leaving his wife Dana and 3 children.
I just saw this on the Fox news channel. Thats so sad.
He played Superman in the movies. He was one of the
many actors/celebrities Ive had crushes on over the
years. He was in a horse riding accident in 1995 and
since then has been confined to a wheelchair. He will
be greatly missed
To Jim-I love you more than words can say,
my biggest dream in life is to marry you someday.-your future wife, Carol Carrey

I saw that he died this morning, it's really sad. He was really cool as Superman but also a really good actor. R.I.P.

Yeah. It's so sad. He was so young (.52) He was a great advocate of stem cell research (which I was thankful for since I have a handicap that started when I was 17). He will be missed, but I do hope his passing will make the politicians take another look at the benefits of broadening stem cell research (It may be the road to a cure for many).

I feel so angry at his loss (I am shaking as I write this). He died of complications from an infection steming from a bedsore, which is common for paraphelegics. He went into cardiac arrest. Saturday, and then slipped into a coma. He died Sunday. There was no need for this! Politicians need to really take action and increase stem cell research. Christopher Reeves' death is beyond stupid!

COME ON! NO MORE DEATH! INCREASE STEM CELL RESEARCH!

I was lucky enough to have met Christopher Reeves a couple of times at Burke Rehabilition Center in White Plains, New York. Unfortunately, I had a family member there recooping after suffering a stroke...Reeves was on a tredmill with a harness trying to walk.....i was amazed by his will and strength. He was such a positive and amazing person who wanted to live...but it was his time.......its very sad indeed.
