As an actor being able to find the perfect character, Ace Ventura is for Jim what John McClane is for Bruce Willis, Indiana Jones or Han Solo for Harrison Ford, The Terminator for The Governator, Jack Sparrow for Johnny Depp, Rambo or Rocky for Sylvester Stallone, Gandalf or Magneto for Ian McKellen, Ellen Ripley for Sigourney Weaver, Hannibal Lecter for Anthony Hopkins, ... I think it's clear what I mean. :p

I just saw "Moon" (2009) and couldn't help thinking : "Jim could pull this off, this would have been perfect." Specialy after seeing him in Kick-Ass 2 during the ... um ... last scene. Anyway, was just thinking out loud. Still hope something different and big comes up for him.
