When I was at work the other day
someone was being artistic with the product
(you'd laugh if you knew the product)
and I thought of Jim, as you get into the rythm of the job
I think of 101 clean things to do with our product

Anyway, then I thought of the sequel and started to
laugh to myself as to how Lloyd and buddy would
address our product, all and all this created some funny
writing scenarios, so when I came home from work
I wrote them down but
I amlooking forward to what
the writers of Dumb and Dumber 2 come up with

Glad to hear there is a song writer involved on this one
Hope we get a song that people can hum to
"What great advertising, everyone humming a Dumb and Dumber 2
Theme song" like the "Coke" song

How far along is the Dumb and Dumber sequel?

ANDERS: For me, it’s all the way along. That was the first thing that John [Morris] and I wrote when we were just wrapping up post on That’s My Boy. We had met with Jim Carrey right before we flew to Boston to shoot this movie. We had a meeting, and then went right to the airport. And then, the whole summer, the Farrelly’s producer was calling me and saying, “Hey, have you had a chance to work on the script?,” and I was like, “Dude, no! We’re crazy busy!” So, we hadn’t done anything. And then, when things were finally starting to slow down a little bit, in the post-production process, we went off and wrote Dumb and Dumber 2, and had a blast writing it. We turned it in and everybody was really happy and excited, and then Pete and Bobby took the script and went off and did their thing with it.

Now, what I’m hearing from those guys is that they’re about to sit down with Jim Carrey and work through it with him. The hope is that it goes into production this Fall. That was another pinch yourself thing. Dumb and Dumber is one of my all-time favorite movies. We’re huge Farrelly brothers fans, and it was great to get to know those guys and work with those guys. You have to understand where we come from. My writing partner, John, and I are just guys that made a movie with a cheap video camera, just for fun with our friends, and it turned into craziness.

We never set out to have a career. We weren’t guys that were going to film school and killing ourselves to get an agent. We just made this movie for fun, and then one thing led to another and led to another and, pretty soon, we were writing Dumb and Dumber 2 and thinking, “What is going on here?!” We’re very grateful and very excited, but very terrified a lot of the time, too. When you’re working on that script, you have so much fun writing it, but then also you think, “Jesus Christ, this is Dumb and Dumber 2. I don’t want to screw this up!”

Yes, you have to have the hair and once in a while throw in a few
hats.
I was in Stratford,On for Canada Day celebrations and had to
take pictures of some of the hats, I love different and odd hats.
The Big hat in the original D & D was excellent.

I've been reviewing the old D & D movie this week, it is soooo funny

If they do it, keep the hair cuts, the wild hair of Jeff and the rigidity of Jim's hair makes the pair.

and I ended up with Me, Myself and Irene,

I realized now why I don't watch it very often
Comedy is great but I hate the swearing in it
why couldn't they use alternate words, which would probably make it
even funnier, instead of the F word use something more creative
Didn't Jim even create a new word?
Maybe it's even a new swear word, not sure on that one

and looked into an historical book and lo and behold

All I could do was laugh
I wonder if Jeff has any Canadian roots

I agree. I'm that same way. And i also thought that it was a little gross at times but mostly why i don't watch it is because of all the F words thats in it. I still love Jimmy though.!

With "Me, Myself and Irene" the Farrelly's were riding high on their success from "There's Something About Mary." "Mary" broke new ground in the R-rated comedy genre. I guess the Farrellys were hoping they'd be just as successful with "Irene" but they weren't. Personally, I thought the movie was hilarious, and that Jim's acting was in top form. I did think the plot was a bit convoluted.

I'm not saying it wasn't funny cause it was all i'm saying is i wasn't to thrilled with all the language in it. I don't mind slips every now and then. And from what i have seen form there's soemthing about mary it looks really funny, but of course everytime i watch it i always make it into the middle part of the movie or its on real late at night and i can't finish it.

I'd pick up the pace with a faster beat
especially when Lloyd and Harry get themselves into trouble

as I'm sure they will
