Re: new bike advice.......ok thanks, i'll know next time....... i'm getting better on it and i LOVE it......i spent my whole childhood on a bike and i'd forgotten the feeling......you get the wind through your hair, excercise and you see and hear nature all around you......far more fun than the gym.....

Re: new bike advice.......
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt ... 9,r:16,s:0 drop handlebars. . . this is kind of what my bike looks like. . . but notice the handlebars. most roadbikes have this unless requested otherwise. I'm more towards the serious side of a cyclist but it's still a social thing for me. I don't ever picture myself being competitive altho I do ride more aggressively, but bad drivers have shown me that I need to ride more aggressively to show that I'm not going to ride in the grass on a road bike. I mostly follow the rules of the road. ALWAYS RIDE WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC! NEVER AGAINST! Drivers freak out/panic when they see a cyclist coming TOWARD them on the road. more die riding on the left side of the road rather than the right. Always ride on the RIGHT side of the road. . . unless you're in the UK.
Re: new bike advice.......i'm riding on the pavements!....... i know what drivers are like here , being one myself..........lol.......fortunately i've not run over any old folk....yet.........lmao

Re: new bike advice.......i have a feeling that where you're from, it's more bicycle friendly. . . yes definitely! Scotland is more bicycle friendly than in the states. I'm sure you know how to ride and many more ride than people in the States ride.
or is that a stereotype? we need more drivers like you here!
Re: new bike advice.......lol.......we're ok.....some places better than others........but we don't have many cycle lanes yet so it's safer in town to use the pavements, esp if you're a bit wobbly like me....

Re: new bike advice.......
wobbly-ness is something you can fix. If you can, try and get your legs to be at 120 degrees while pedaling. . . also if you're really wobbly. . . go a gear up. . . or two. Spinning makes you wobbly, especially if you're legs are going really fast and you're not going anywhere. It warms your legs up, but you're so unsteady on the bike that you don't have control over the bike. So, go a gear up or two. ..
Re: new bike advice.......wowThat's some bike
At least you can really see where you're going
