I want to go see a movie and I'm not sure what I want to see I went yesterday and couldn't decide.. I'll go out tonight and see what may be available but there really isn't much being said about the movies that are out now, anyone see anything they liked lately? I'm thinking about seeing Morning Glory

The last movie I went to see was Due Date. Pretty good actually, but I wouldn't say the best. That movie Unstoppable with Denzel Washingtion and Chris Pine looks pretty good. I can't wait to see that one!

Is it just me or is the quality of movies a bit dodgy these days??.......It seems the studios are intent on knocking out either kids films or scream fests......there are some decent movies of course but they seem to be few and far between these days.......

I've noticed that when I watch movies now. It seems that so much has been kept out. When I watched Alice in Wonderland there was so much left out or there was just some missing pieces. Not giving Tim Burton a bad rap, he's a good director and writer, but it just seemed that way.
I've notice also a lot of content being removed from movies to make characters more complexed. Even remakes have taken a slight drop, i.e. Nightmare on Elm Street, Paranormal Activity 2, just to name a couple.
Idk...maybe film distributors and makers are making it that way so that viewers and fans can watch more of other films by specific actors or screenwriters.

I totally agree with both of you! No one is coming with new or exciting material anymore. Most actors now and days are only in it for the money. :/

i don't think it's down to the actors, they want to do credible and talented performances.......it's the studios who are only interested in $ .....the writing is suspect too......I'm thinking of the Hangover which did quite well off the back off a really suspect script and ropey casting....i found it cliched and naff ....... That's one reason i like Jim's films so much. His roles are more innovative and exciting.......i think a lot of so called comedies are formulaic and cheesy........

When I saw the title I thought (boring) but when I saw the reviews and the Oscars I thought "ya, maybe it's worth seeing"
Really enjoyed it, mostly seniors in the theatre and there was one part I wasn't too comfortable with (the swearing) but I do think it was necessary for telling the story. All in all I did enjoy it.
It was an eye opener to the reality of being thrown into something not wanted or expected Life's life that, we often don't achieve what we originally set out to do, but really maybe what we set ourselves out to do, isn't what we are suppose to do.
He wanted to be in the background but ended up right up front Ironically ironic

The last movie I saw (since I last posted) was Harry Potter 7 and I'll tell you that movie is VERY dark. It almost seems like it's not intended for children. But J.K Rolling said that the books were suppose to not be all for the kids. I love her writing! The movie was good too but it just seem so short (and I know 2 and a half hours is a long time but when a story is so descriptive and has a lot going in it, it's never long enough, lol)
I heard that The Roommate is pretty funny and I want to see that new Sir Anthony Hopkins movie where he's a priest that exhibits physical symptoms of an apparent poltergist/posession. I think that would be a good flick to see.
