This was just a poll. Not really an upcoming movie, but people voted that if they had an Uncle Sam movie, they would want Carrey.

well, despite being British i think Jim could do such an important role serious justice. He's certainly capable of being very dignified and statesman like and he's very well loved....

for recruiting people into the Army?

i wikepedia'd it and you're bang on.....it was a PR character used to recruit soldiers during WW1&2....
hmmm... .....but it depends on the story, i can't see Jim in a role encouraging young men to sign up even if it was in WW2..it would send out the message that he condones war........
unless of course they poke fun at the character, point out the futility of war and make it a comedy..............

The ironic thing is probably the story of
the conception of Uncle Sam is more
amuzing and entertaining than what
Uncle Sam's purpose was.
In the run through of who really was
uncle Sam.
"Sam Wilson" has come up and he
sent meat over to the boys in Blue.

My question is in 1914 the preservation
capabilities during wartime was not
that advanced. Was it dried meat?
