Apparently this song is actually an old one made new...

But the day I posted this, the CBC came up that evening with...

"Johnny Reid, the Scottish-born Canadian singer-songwriter whose fans are dubbed the Tartan Army, has a leading six nominations for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards."

which I didn't know until after I posted

The awards are being presented by Actor Jason Priestley will host the awards on Sept. 13 at GM Place in Vancouver.

CBC-TV will broadcast the event and it will be repeated on CMT.

I hope to remember to watch this, for sure.

I went up north for a job interview....

Postby Canadian Jayne » Sat Aug 29, 2009 4:17 pm

It turned out that Johnny Reid was playing about 1/2 hour from
where I was staying...
only problem: the $70. ticket to get into the concert.
I ended back in ST. T. but was just in time for the
Ironhorse festival...
I saw Murray McLaughlan and Hotel California
they were both excellent, front row seats...affordable
mmmm good.
There was a bronze man in the street festival,
he would pose on a bronze podium, really looked like a
bronze statue then when you put money in the bronze tin
he would move, It was truly something to see,
wish I had filmed it (dang it - opportunity lost)
he was
excellent, he was a mimer, he would be great promoting
"A Night at the Museum" movie
He looked like a real statue when you approached until he moved
robotic style. =D>
Great Festival!

Postby Canadian Jayne » Sat Aug 29, 2009 4:32 pm

"I don't know how I'm gonna build a castle now"
I don't know the name or the artist
but it's a really good song.
It has in the words..
"There's a hole in my bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza.

REally cute Song.
REminds me of my beach day a few weeks ago.
