Here is where you discuss everything under the sun, just keep it clean.

Am i the only one who thinks it's ludicrous to annull the marriages of same sex couples who tied the knot B4 all this nonsense? Prop 8 is just prejudism and should have no place in a progessive society. We've had same sex marriages here in the UK for a while now and frankly no-one has batted an eyelid......rather, as a whole we've celebrated the change in attitudes..... Love is love after all, it doesn't matter how it's packaged between consenting adults.
What do folk think?

Every state is different...try to marry the same sex in Puerto Rico and they will have you shot...LOL. There is nothing wrong with loving but is it really necessary to marry the person... there is nothing beautiful about how it is that they are showing their love...and marriage is sacred...why is that so hard to understand.

Here on Brazil, I think you know, we have the gay parade and things like that...
But when you talk about marriage they don't like much!
It's a bit strange because when we have this parade, evebody like it and enjoy it...
But out of there we have prejudice against then and marriage... Nobody
agree with that!
I think that if they love each other marriage is a normal thing...
Or they can live together! they don't need to marriage if they don't want!
Will be the same thing!

Honestly? My stomach is turning when I read reactions on this subject.
When a woman and man are in love, that means they are heterosexual (most of the time) and should be able to get married for all the reasons marriage exist.
When a mand and another man are in love, that means they are homosexual and should be able to get married for allt he reasons marriage exist.
When a womand and another woman, that means they are homosexual and should be able to get married for all the reasons marriage excist.
Yep, it's realy thát simple.

Wait a minute there.
Does marriage has something to do with God? And if so, would God (if there is one, depends on what the reader of my words believes in) be against two people in love? Never. I know some people love to ignore things that are in the bible when it comes to sensitive subjects like this. But hell, Jezus was even helping out a whore, because she's a human being. (yeah, I'm a bit crude there) It's all good for God, it's the (Christian) church (and other religions) that aren't OK with it and change the word. But ok, religion is a hard thing to talk about. I respect your religion and your God. That doesn't mean I agree with all it stands for.
Back on the marriage-thing. It's not a religious thing. It's about two people ready to make te commitement for a lifetime. Everybody should be able to do that.
(sorry for the poor written english)

Yeah, it's not like it's hurting straight couples, I mean it doesn't have any effect on anyone really.

It's special for the same sex couples who want to be recognised in the eyes of society and the law.........the marriages are state unions not church ones so the religious element has been removed.
