This is my corned beef brisket. I got it because of the brand name. "Cooks" is just so whimsical and exotic.
(Actually, it is about the best brand of store bought corned beef you can get.)
OK, feel free to bust me because I got it at Stepford store....
A lot of people don't know that corned beef originated in County Corn in Ireland and that's how it got its name.[/i]

I look forward to hearing how you make that!
Corned beef is traditionally the brisket...and it's cured, but it needs to be cooked low and slow in enough water to cover. Just a simmer...for around 3 hours, of course you add veggies after awhile.
There will be a packet of pickling spice in with the corned beef...I always use it, just dump it in the water.

Not to be rude, but it doesn't look all that good. But I bet it tastes very good.

Dream Dip; Its a wonderdip for fruit. Marshmellow Cream and Cream cheese whipped together. Use alone with cut fruit as a dip or spread upon a crescent roll crust like a pie, top with fruit for an easy dessert. Heavenly!

My corned beef comes in a small tin .......and transforms itself magnificently into a corned beef and Branston pickle sandwich.
