I'm out of $$$funds and losing my mind I'm so bored. Any suggestions. Television overrated for me so from there I"m out of ideas. I need a kickstart. I'm borderline tearful, is a horrible feeling.

I'm a single mother who smokes.... Apparently there's a disconnect here somewhere. I'll just keep looking for work and pray alot, its the best I can do.

going to the library is a good idea, as is going to the mall....anywhere you'll start interacting with people. you never know who you'll run into and start talking to....that's how ideas come about - open yourself up to the possibilities....! don't sit on your couch watching TV - you'll only stagnate longer and get more discouraged. 8)

I draw, paint or go to the cemetary for a quiet walk (and ultimately get lost!).

I hate television so that's an easy one to avoid; I do get movies at the library and spend a lot of time in book stores 'shopping'. I have people I adore at local shops and see them often. But... without money, its tough when you want to shower someone with something 'special' anything over a $2.00 is expensive. How poor am I eeek! Paying jobs are great when you have one. Missionary work is an adjustment for me.

I literally have NO money at the moment, but I have managed to occupy myself for the last 2 days. I'm learning to play the guitar.

Bake a cake, read a book, do some cleaning (trust me, it's not as boring as it sounds - I cleaned my room last night, and I'm really proud of how it looks now), go for a walk - walking is free. Put some music on and dance. I love to jump around my room doing air guitar. No one's going to judge you. Music is a lifesaver for me most of the time!!

You say you smoke? Maybe try to cut down, then you might have a little more cash to spend on other things...?

Your right about the smokes, I've been trying to quit for a while; unfortunately with the stress (poor excuse I know) my hands are bored too. They are expensive, so is gas. Every classified has fax your resume to.... I"m tired of applying for work. I work so much better from home because I sleep weird. Wide awake at night and sleepy during the day. I'm a mess.

i know the feeling of 'being a mess', but you'll figure it out eventually. i've been without a "regular job" for four and a half years, and my motto has become "if there's no job out there for you, make one for yourself"....still working out the details on that though! and everyone has a vice, myself included....i just hate to see what cigarettes do to people. but i guess the same could be said about fast food and booze. 8)

true enough....but skip the cigs, go easy on the fast food, finish it off with some booze, and you'll have a prolonged pleasurable snooze.....ha ha. 8)

Bunny, my dear Bunny. Cigarettes are ultimately a massive waste of money. If you want to smoke, if you have to smoke, smoke Natural Tobacco. Like Blender's Gold Rich Vanilla. Reg. ciggs are a mere waste of money and worse on you.... Wrap it up, smoke it in a pipe. And read some of the books I recommended. Go to your local library and check out "Kingdom of Fear." It's a very insightful book and you will thank me after you read it. Cheers.
