Yeah I agree Fluffy, but as an actor I respect him. He is very talented.

But it is sad that he dont understand that scientology and the this kind of stuff is destroying his career:

retard_messiah, scientology is a very interesting read. L Ron Hubbard started this "religion" and it is based on lots of other theories. such as reincarnation, aliens, etc. like i said - interesting. you should always read to be informed enough to make up your own mind if tom and all the other scientologists, are crazy

mav, interesting link didn't read all of it and can't say i agree with this one...but it's always good to know what's out there...good, bad and indifferent :)

say, anyone know when the next comet is coming? i sent my sweatsuit and nikes to the cleaners and need to pick them up

reincarnations and aliens?! wow..... I would stay away from those too. Even if they work it's not my idea of permanance nor something I would subscribe to for short-term benefits... :?

Yeah maybe should read his books. I am not interested in being a scientologist. But I want to know it means to be a scientologist. There have a lot of talk about this religion and I want to have a own opinion.

It is fantastic to see you posting!!!

Yeah, religion is hard to fathom sometimes. The one thing that has me peeved lately is the Christian church's refusal to recognize gay marriage. I'm straight, but quite a few of my friends aren't.

I'm sure that God loves them as much as God loves me.

I talked with one of my friends and he said there is a "gay" church across the river...but he said, "They're just bitter and political...I want to go to a REAL church not something created exclusively for homosexuals."

And I thought, boy....that's a GREAT attitude. I have a problem with the idea that God would abhor anyone.

It seems to be the representatives on Earth who create the conflict. The churches also manage to dig themselves into politics.

For a long time I really believed in nothing and thought religion was a destructive force. But the force isn't religion...it's fanatics who politicize their narrow view of things.

I think there's a compass inside all of us. I often think of Twain's "Huck Finn"....the pivotal passage in the book is when Huck decides that despite what the church told him, he's not going to turn Jim in...and he's prepared to go to hell for it. Because the church then...said that black people were meant to be slaves.

It's one of those historical American things that makes me look back and say, "stupid! stupid! stupid!"

Oh, I'm rambling....and nary a joke in the post.

I find your post interesting. Because you believe religion is primarily negative, I think you said responsible for wars.......

Also, on the long thread "Does Jim Still"....way back when, I said I wanted to hug the Dalai Lama (I still do) and you said it made you uncomfortable because of the first commandment.

I think that I understand you fluffy because I kinda feel the same way... I believe in something... I believe in some superior force and power that I call God... and I still believe in people.

You said it. This is the core of the conflicts ... the interpretation of each and every person about religion, politics, and the world at-large... and some people wanting to gain control over others.
