THANKS FOR THE POEM
There's a movie out now about a woman with Alzheimer's
I'd like to see it. I didn't know his dad had it, it must have been
difficult to see someone you love and care about change so much.
The child becomes the parent, the parent becomes the child.

Jim's father died of lung cancer in 1994. Did he have alzheimers too? Jim claimed that his father was aware of his success when he died. If he had alzheimers he wouldn't have a clue about Jim's success would he? Plus I have an interview with Jim's Dad from 1993 or 1994 I am not sure what mag it is from cause it is just a clipping but it never mentions him having alzheimers.

I think she is right. I think I saw it in The Jokers Wild book too. So I guess he had both lung cancer and alzheimers.
I am confused about something tho. Howcome whenever the press asked Jim why his father died all Jim would say was" I don't know. Loneliness?"? I read that in many interviews. In one of the articles they said that Rita(Jim's sister) is the one who told the press that he died of lung cancer and she said she had no idea why Jim said it was because of loneliness.

I believe, When people are really really sad they can get sick of sadness, when they can't express they emotions, they coop it up somewhere and it sticks somewhere in your body and that part of your body is going to be a weak point (like for me, my stomach for instance). People can be so miserable for such a long time but just going on like a machine and there's gonna be a point where their body calls them to a halt, and then they get sick so they HAVE to sit back and review and reconcider.
So I think his think pattern is pretty logical and it could make total sense. His dad probably smoked a lot too but cancer is one of those illnesses that can just be THERE all of a sudden and you won't know why.

I AGREE
We've all had days like that, and have to RESET ourselves.
Sometimes it takes more times than others, sometimes just a few
minutes, sometimes just a good nap and were off again.
But its important to take the time to RESET.
Truly about cancer, my grandmother died at about 48 of it, sometimes
it can just be there.
I think of a guy in town who was told he had an ULCER, turned
out to be Pancreatic Cander, all those years he was on ulcer
medication and that wasn't it.
Sad but true.
On a happier note.
I wonder what kind of Chips Jim likes? Ketchup, Salt & Vineger, Regular?
Anyone know. MM chips and it'll bring a smile to your face.
Maybe Icecream too
