The 49-year-old star of 1998 movie The Truman Show explained that Jackson â the son of Jimâs daughter Jane who was born in February last year â is âvery funnyâ and employs a whole host of skills to avoid eating meals.
Jim said Jackson has âthis mischief on his face that you can just tell that he knows heâs going to be completely accepted in every wayâ, while adding that the tot already understands people âwant to see meâ and knows âwhenever I say âhiâ, everybodyâs going to laughâ.
However, the comedy hero continued by saying Jackson is âvery funny, tooâ and was reminded of himself as a young boy when his grandson placed âsunglasses upside downâ on his face.
Jim was âtotally remindedâ of his early years âbecause I was a very finicky eater, and my mother said that I got out of eating every time by just making everybody laugh and howl at the tableâ.
Jackson may well be following in his grandfatherâs footsteps because Jim revealed that he would look to his own dad, Percy, for comedic ideas as the Canadian star believes he was among the âfunniest human beingsâ he ever encountered.
Jim, who was speaking to parentsâ website Babble, stated that, as âa little tiny kidâ, he would look at his father as âhe used to command the room â and was one of the funniest human beings youâve ever met in your lifeâ.
The Bruce Almighty actor believes his dad âwas just one of these characters that, when he told a story, he was so incredibly animatedâ â and confirmed that âthe character I played in The Truman Show was my fatherâ.
