Roger Ebert has S*** for brains. The guy is a crappy critic. Did I forget to mention he gave Ace Ventura 1 and 2 Cable Guy, Dumb and Dumber and Me, Myself & Irene bad reviews. He should be flipping burgers at Mcdonalds. he is full of it. I am not bad mouthing carry's movie at all I just think Roger Ebert blows the big one. I liked gene though. <p></p><i></i>

But anytime Jim makes a Drama ebert almost seems to crap his pants bragging about how great it was. Alot of his best comedies he seems to dislike and discourage Jim about them. I remember after the truman show came out roger was telling Jim to stay away from comedies and stick with Drama's. He has gave tons of really crappy movies good reviews like " A Simple Plan" And Stewart Saves his family. Gene liked alot of Jim's comedies except for Ace Ventura Series. worms were crawling through his nose? that's not nice to say, anyway, I kinda agree with Ebert, Jim should do more dramatic films, just cuz his name means Comedy doesn't mean he shouldn't explore his talents, Jim is a great dramatic actor, especially in ESOTSM, he needs to continue working on his dramatic acting and showing people that he's not just a single genre oriented guy. I'm kinda with JT on this one, I'm all for Ebert talking up Jim's dramatic work, in fact I applaud it! It's his dramatic work that needs to be encouraged, especially to the general public who only see him as a comedic actor. More reviewers need to be like him and push Jim's dramatic movies. <p></p><i></i>

I dont agree with more Drama's because I dont think Jim Carrey is a good Dramatic Actor. I am all for Drama's but just not most of his. It almost seems like the media will decide if a movie is good or not. The truman show is not even an original Script it was a ripoff from an older Script written about 20 years ago. I think he is the funniest man on earth, but it is hard to take a clown seriously. Ebert Shouldn't Discourage him from doing something that made millions of Americans love him which is comedy. <p></p><i></i>

*gasp*<br><br>Jim is a brilliant dramatic actor! The Tuman Show was magnificent and so was Man on the Moon, which was wrongly classified as a comedy I reckon. But my fave movie of Jim's is The Majestic, which is clearly a drama. He brings such flair to that movie, he comes across as so vulnerable and you can see how everything that happens to Peter effects him through his eyes. Jim brings such internal heartache to PEter which you can see at the end of that movie. No piss-weak dramatic actor could do that. And if you ever wanted proof that Jim can do drama, find a copy of Doing Time on Maple Drive. There are two scenes in that which he plays perfectly, noone can watch that movie without feeling your own heart breaking for his character. There's another scene in that which takes place on a tennis court where he also shows his character's pain. <br><br>Jim's no slouch when it comes to drama. He himself has said drama and comedy is just acting. Good actors can do both. By saying he can't do drama you're saying he can't act and my god the man can act circles around anyone! lol!<br> <p></p><i></i>

The guy is a crappy critic." is like the lamest thing you can do.<br><br>I don't like him also, but just because you don't agree with a critic doesn't mean you have to put it that way. Every movie, bad or good, will be reviewed by people who dislike or dig it totaly. But one thing is clear : An oppinion about a movie is totaly subjective (<-hoping this is the right word in english), no matter how damn good you know every detail about moviemaking, it stays personal.<br><br>You should respect other oppinions!
