Really cool article~!! Thanks so much~!!
I wouldn't mind seeing Jim doing a talk show, because I'd get to watch him every week... hopefully if it comes on in Australia I would never pass down that chance!! It would be great to see him do a talk show!!!! We might even get a chance to go on his show, you know? It would be AWESOME!! I can't stop saying awesome.....
It would be a great way for him to go on a break, if you count a talk show as a "break". No more movies for a while, and just chatting and joking with his guests~ And if he gets tired of that, then he can go back to doing movies or something... I don't know, but I really wouldn't mind seeing him on a talk show of his own~!
Great article~! Thanks Priya, again~!

ur welcome samurai_cable,idle kid city & Gouliovandamn
here is some more about Jim at 11th annual U.S. Comedy Arts Festival:
In one of the Wednesday-Sunday festival's final events, Jim Carrey on Saturday night accepted the annual AFI Star Award after an onstage interview conducted by Conan O'Brien. In accepting the award, Carrey quipped: "I'd like to thank the Lord. I know he is really busy with Oscar season."
Asked if he resented not receiving an Oscar nomination for his critically embraced work in Focus Features' "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," Carrey said he was not upset, but "sure it would be nice to be part of the club." On Oscar night, Carrey said he will sit at home with a bag of chips and root for Jamie Foxx.
In a conversation with reporters, Carrey also said he has no interest in hosting the Oscars and hinted that he has no real interest in television work. "I like what I'm doing now," he said. "I love film."

ok for one thing, he was giving Conan a hard time about Conan taking over for Jay Leno in 2009 when Leno retires. Carrey was kidding about hosting late night talk shows. lol. I can't believe you guys didn't see that.
about the Oscar thing, I think he is bitter about that but he's using humor to cover up that bitterness. Kate got nominated and he didn't for ESOTSM. duh?

Bitter?
He's a multimillionaire with an impressive resume and gazillions of adoring fans.
Validation doesn't come from an Oscar.
Here are some notables who've never received an Oscar:
Cary Grant
Greta Garbo
Fred Astaire
Peter O'Toole
Richard Burton
Alfred Hitchcock
Martin Scorsese
Humphrey Bogart

I like how he acknowledges God, because in the end,
he's the ONE who we are all accountable to.
All the pomp and splendor in this life dissipates when the GREAT ONE
is in front of us. Validation comes from the Ripple Effect.
How one has affected another, and they in turnanother, and another, and another, and so on and so on.
