How have these storms affected you folks today?.
They just picked someone up outside from the snow bank, apparently the little sidewalk snow plow is a plowing too fast, as some folks around here are surmising, when I came in it did look pretty bad,
I had to lift my bike over the snow, but it's somewhat melting.
Man what a storm, reminds me of being up in Walkerton.
I actually love a snow storm, my ankle always hurts when we are getting a big one, and I had a lot of pain prior to it coming and told everyone, didn't get a chance on here though.

I wonder if this weird weather is due to that rocket being shot down?
I wonder

maybe a satellite or foreign thingy shot down out of the sky out off Cape Canaveral, Florida few weeks ago. I'll see if I can find more info or may be it was:
Quote:
"Thu February 21, 2008
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. Navy succeeded in its effort to shoot down an inoperable spy satellite before it could crash to Earth and potentially release a cloud of toxic gas, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The first opportunity for the Navy to shoot down the satellite came about 10:30 p.m. ET Wednesday. The plan included firing a missile from the USS Lake Erie in the Pacific Ocean west of Hawaii to destroy the satellite.
A network of land-, air-, sea- and space-based sensors confirms that the U.S. military intercepted a non-functioning National Reconnaissance Office satellite which was in its final orbits before entering the Earth's atmosphere," a Department of Defense statement said.
"At approximately 10:26 p.m. EST today, a U.S. Navy AEGIS warship, the USS Lake Erie, fired a single modified tactical Standard Missile-3, hitting the satellite approximately 247 kilometers (133 nautical miles) over the Pacific Ocean as it traveled in space at more than 17,000 mph."
This was taken from CNN.com/technology
Or maybe it was a:
"1.10.2008 - Solar Cycle 24 Begins
Space Weather: Hang on to your cell phones, a new solar cycle is underway. Solar Cycle 24 began last week with the appearance of a magnetically "backward" high-latitude sunspot. "

Who knows why we have these weird weather anomalies, we can only speculate.

Yea, I heard about that. If they had failed to shoot it down, it could have caused all kinds of damage and possible loss of life. Wonder where it would have hit...BUT NO, I don't believe the weather has anything at all to do with that. We haven't had a storm like this since the blizzard of '78. It was overdue...We got somewhere in the neighborhood of 20-21 inches of drifting snow.

Last week was the first week since the semester started that we had a 5 day week...it's already killing us! We have 9 straight weeks in a row left! No breaks! (after spring break)...Oh, no, that means 9 straight weeks of Mr. Tell-us-once-and-expect-us-to-know!

Hopefully, you have good teachers that will let you take it over if you don't do so well.
The question is not, were you were perfect the first time, but did you learn from your mistakes and do better the second time round.
Perhaps that's a lesson in life.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. (I forget who said that)

^ I think Ben Franklin did...but I'm not sure.
He does let us, but I'm always too busy anyway. Besides, with a B I have one of the highest grades in the class, people are actually asking me for help! Which is kinda cool, cuz all of a sudden everyone was crowded around me trying see if I'd use an accent when I explained the next problem!

I read the headlines at the grocery store yesterday and at around noon it started snowing, by one there was a 100 car pile-up on I-70! 2 people died, 32 were seriously injured, the rest went to our middle school. Germans traveling from the Grand Canyon said they never want to see snow again! The collision was so big they closed down that portion of I-70 til 10:00 pm. The story spanned 2 double-trucks to tell us that. At least they all have a great story to tell their friends!

The snow was an illusion... cosmic static dust was used to aide in the secret landing of alien craft come to Earth so the nasty buggers could copulate with the local ladies and make a quick escape.
This just in... One was disguised as Elvis and was seen near a broken down craft on I-70 thumbin' for a ride.
YOU JUST CAN'T TRUST THE NEWS THESE DAYS...
