What do you guys think. . .does cell phones, the internet, television, Video games, and other techology make humankind, apathetic, anti-social, dependant, lazy, less imaginative, dumber, more violent??? Is technology causing the decay of human civilization??

Or are they at a higher risk for a self imposed isolation?? I think we're all affected negativley by technology. . . just the mere fact that life would be impossibly inconvenient without it, is a negative side effect. It's a drug. . . once we incorperate it into our lives, it must stay there forever more or our lives would collapse. Nothing can be done! And we can't help but incorperate it into our lives, becasue most of us nowadays are tought from BIRTH how to depend on technology.

I just want to know when we're going to get the madcap robots like in The Jetsons.

Heck...we do not need robots to help us. Infact sometimes I wish we lived like the old, old, old, old days, were they had to get up early in the mornings to pick vegetables from the farm, and milk the cows...the values then were so much better then the values now- :?

But....you can just program your robots with the kind of values you want.

Sure you'd exercise sometimes. You could get a robot that is smart, witty and entertaining.

Where I used to work, I saw many, MANY people who were using cellphones and even couples with the guy and the girl each talking to someone else on each side, I just thought that was sad!
There even was this costumer on the phone, totally ignoring his girlfriend and she joked 'Honey, I'm pregnant!' and he just went 'Mmm-mm!'
Sure technology like the cellular phone is useful but some tend to exaggerate!

I spend too much time on the internet, texting someone, or talking on the phone.
I'd like to go out for rides on my bike, go swimming, or something to the effect, but everyone else I know is either sitting at their computer, texting someone, or talking on the phone...
