So...let me tell you about my day.

I didn't really have plans, except I wanted to go to the Stepford store because they were having a sale on bookcases and I have so many books that I need to find some shelves fast.

So, first I went to Goodwill...just to peruse furniture and I wound up buying a shelf, some candles and a small garbage can that will match the bedroom.

Then I drove over to Stepford Store...and bought ingredients to make rice krispie bars. M. Didn't find any furniture and decided to go to the grocery store next. I checked out in the express lane and they have DVD's there for 7.50$ The one on top? "The Mask". This used to happen in Roscoe too when I would check out in the express lane (I usually do) I would be looking at "Ace Ventura Pet Detective."

I'm the kind of person who sees things and says, "What are the odds"? Out of thousands of possible DVD's it's a Jim Carrey movie  .

Anyway, I left Target and drove towards the grocery store I wanted. I took a little shortcut that had me driving past the NOVA 6 cinema, where movies are $5 including popcorn and a drink.

Guess what's playing? "Fun with Dick and Jane." So I think "Fine, I'll drive past it and see what time "Fun with Dick and Jane" is playing. The window says - 2:45, I look down at my watch and it's 2:35.

So, I thought FINE!!! I'll go see the @#$%#@ movie!

I enjoyed it. :)

Goodwill is where you can donate or buy secondhand stuff.

Awhile back I donated a bunch of clothes. It's a good way to get rid of clutter and it still helps someone ultimately.

I was trying (unsuccessfully) to fit all my clothes in my wardrobe yesterday. It's no use....some of them are gonna have to go. I usually put them in the first charity bag that pops through my letterbox for doorstep collection. It's a great idea.

Or them again....perhaps the more 'worthy' items could be flogged on ebay..... :-k

I'm cranky...I just went back to the Kmart with the shoe rack I can't put together (the little screws won't even screw in). I could not find the receipt, but it's Martha Stewart brand....

The lady says unless I wrote a check for it, or put it on a debit card, she can't give me a refund or do an exchange. But I paid cash.

Then she called and talked to the "manager" and the manager said, no exchanges without a receipt.

I actually said, "Tell your manager that you just lost a customer for life. This is CLEARLY your merchandise."

And I drove to Wal Mart. Found a five shelf unit that's supposed to take 2 minutes to assemble. Bought two screwdrivers, plain and Phillips head and some gorilla glue for a lamp I'm working on fixing.

I have bent so many nails this morning. I'm no good at hammering.

Each morning I mentally set myself to get some thing or other done in the apartment.

Today I went to Goodwill again. Bought a roasting pan and a little wall hanging.

My total was 7.77

Then I went to Long John Silver's and there was a sign up on the take out window that said. "Remember, the number is 7."

Who started this dadgum numbers thing?

My license plate is Quirky 7.

THEY picked the number, not me.
