I love that song. Always have.
Also love Crowded House's 'Weather With You', containing possible my favourite song lyris of all time:
Julius Caesar, and the Roman Empire, couldn't conquer the blue sky.
What are you listening right now?
I love that song. Always have. Also love Crowded House's 'Weather With You', containing possible my favourite song lyris of all time: Julius Caesar, and the Roman Empire, couldn't conquer the blue sky. Everybody should believe in something.
I believe I'll have another coffee!

Do be do be do do do oh Do be do be do do do oh I used to be a lunatic from the gracious days I used to feel woebegone and so restless nights My aching heart would bleed for you to see 1-Oh, but now I don't find myself bouncing home Whistling buttonhole tunes to make me cry No more I love you's The language is leaving me No more i love you's changes are shifting Outside the words No one ever speaks about the monsters I used to have demons in my room at night Desire, despair, desire So many monsters (rpt 1) 2-No more i love you's The language is leaving me No more i love you's The language is leaving me in silence No more i love you's Changes are shifting outside the words And people are being real crazy And you know what mommy? Everybody was being real crazy And the monsters are crazy. There are monsters outside (rpt 2, 2,...) Do be do be do do do oh Outside the words "When in doubt, tell the truth."

Watching fireworks to all these songs trashing American women...like American Woman...well, that was driving down the road in my car. Then when I got home, I turned on Boston Pops at 10pm....Steve Tyler and Joe Perry performed too.....Boston has the most spectactular fireworks show I found out....was anyone there in person? It was a trippy experience even on TV....I'd never seen it before.
(LOL, the first part was a joke by Alice Cooper from his radio show. He played a song from Guess Who, a Canadian band, called American Woman too.....) Last edited by Michele Hernandez on Wed Jul 05, 2006 8:20 am, edited 3 times in total.
Here's the first song , it's by Lenny Kravitz
HAPPY 4th of JULY everyone!... American Woman American woman, stay away from me American woman, mama let me be Don't come hanging around my door I don't want to see your face no more I got more important things to do Than spend my time growin' old with you Now woman, stay away American woman, listen what I say American woman, get away from me American woman, mama let me be Don't come knocking around my door I don't want to see your shadow no more Colored lights can hypnotize Sparkle someone else's eyes Now woman, get away American woman, listen what I say American woman, I said get way American woman, listen what I say Don't come hanging around my door Don't want to see your face no more I don't need your war machines I don't need your ghetto scenes Colored lights can hypnotize Sparkle someone else's eyes Now woman, get away American woman, listen what I say American woman, stay away from me American woman, mama let me be I gotta go I gotta getta away Think I gotta go I wanna fly away I'm gonna leave you woman I'm gonna leave you woman I'm gonna leave you woman I'm gonna leave you woman Bye bye, bye bye Bye bye, bye bye American woman You're no good for me I'm no good for you Looking at you right in the eye Tell you what I'm gonna do I'm gonna leave you woman You know I gotta go I'm gonna leave you woman I gotta go I gotta go I gotta go American woman Yeah
I hope I didn't offend anyone with my last post! I probably shouldn't listen to Alice Cooper....but I thought it was funny...and I'm an American woman myself...so I was laughing at myself too....it's kind of a social commentary...here are the links:
