Waking up you glanced over at the boys who were struggling with the nutcracker and sipping scotch........lol.....

good job it was all a dream then..........all is calm in the ole household......

Luke has loaded a wagon, and gone, but with plans to join us at Christmas...

I awake from a fitful dream, blush at the boys(Owen and Jim), and rush off to find Nicky to tell the tale...

Sitting by the window, watching the snow fall against the pains outside....My face is glowing in the firelight and i'm breathing damp breaths on the window pane and making little patterns.....
i guess i'm dreaming of being loved..........

I found Nicky in her room entertaining dreams of her own. I picked up a crochet needle and joined her while relating the tale...

We are glorious dreamers after all...........

"You seem blue, Nicky, what's troubling you?" I ask. "Jim's here. He's fighting with Owen over a Nutcracker when I came up to find you..."

I looked down out of the window where Nicky had stood gazing moments before. I could see the tracks of the wagon wheels leading away in the fresh fallen snow...
"Maybe you need time away, Nicky, somewhere you've never been before. New Orleans, perhaps. Or Mexico... " I say, but failing to get a grin. "Or maybe you could just tell him how you feel." "I know it's hard with him. Devilishly quiet, that one."
