permanently pressed repressed and depressedYou can either go into detail about your life after that point or just do your 'Jim' thing... I just needed to rationalize the introduction of a new character... it's well for you that you come into the tale viewed with sympathy for your haunted past...
Now if for some reason, you don't want to follow through seriously... I can say that the stagecoach was negotating a dangerous ridge when a bit of boulder tumbled down spooking the team of horses... they took off in a start. Tragicly, the coach fell from the cliff and Nicola was lost, plummeting to her untimely death. Last edited by wylde on Wed Nov 21, 2007 11:26 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Avon lady... no. But in relation to the time period you could sell soaps and smelling salts... Or you could be a candlemaker. The rest is fine, but I had to fit you in all of a sudden and had no other means of making sense of your expected arrival.
ok..........i guess i'm to be The companion to Owens granny then.........everyone lives in the big ranch house which is huge........i'm kinda half family/half outsider.........but i'm a sucker for soft eyes and a big smile........
it's all very strange .........but the sound of laughter as i stumble off the coach catches my attention and i kinda fall into big strong arms.... fluffy Last edited by fluffy on Wed Nov 21, 2007 11:40 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Well, Raine and his brother, Storm, a gorgeous black stallion enjoyed their apples today. I'm making progress with Raine... he let me brush him today and comes to me when he sees me enter the corral. If this keeps up, he'll be shod by the end of the week. Still too early for a saddle though.
I was thinking of leaving... my wounds are healing well enough and I don't know anything about ranching. And Owen... he's been so kind. Taking me in, being the hero and all... I don't want to impose. Even though I've taken on some chores, I still feel useless. The horses have my attention, and Owen my affection. Maybe that scares me. They just don't make boys like that in Ohio. None I've ever seen... yet I linger neither running from nor to the greatest of all my fears... Love.
Owens granny has bad eyes and decides she needs two companions.....one to read to her and one to write her letters mainly......so we're both needed. Back then it was beneficial to have female presence in the house........kept the blokes civilised
