The coyotes are hungry and I'm out of jerky. They look haggard and mean. My fire is down to embers, but the amber of their eyes is getting bigger, glowing brighter and AHHH! ...The good news is, I think I hit one of them with my boot. The bad news...he ran off with it. NOW, I'm sitting in the dark alone, still surrounded (I can feel it), AND am one boot shy of a running start. Yeah. I need a beer.
