boyfriend trouble...need some advice...

my boyfriend and i have been dating awhile, and he thinks he's ready to have sex...i don't know if i'm ready though, and i don't know what to do. i really like him and want him to be my first, but i don't want to do it too soon. i really need some good advice...non-motherly advice that is. am i too young?

if you don't think you're ready, then don't do it. being too young is only part of it. whether or not you feel comfortable about him touching you and you exposing yourself is the key. there will be plenty of other guys to do it with but there's that special ONE guy.

also, I think that this guy has one thing on his mind and that's to get you in bed and pleasure himself. if he's pressuring you for sex, then no, you're not ready for this. you have sex with him when you're ready.

also, think about the consequences. you could become pregnant either with or without a condom. when you do become pregnant, you have to sacrifice all of your "you" time to your kid. are you ready for that? if you can't afford to have a kid by yourself, then no, you're not ready. going to school everyday with a kid in your arm is so complicated, especially if you and your boyfriend break up. you'll be alone. it will be HIS choice on whether or not he really wants to be involved with his child. remember, proctection is only 97% protective. you can still have a kid using a condom or being on the pill or both. it sucks being a woman. we have to bear the child and stay at home and raise it for at least a year.

you've got soul searching to do. look into your heart. that's where you'll find the answer. Good Luck.

very good advice, carreypunkrawker.....all I can add is that you will always remember your "first" - so be absolutely sure that he's the one you want to remember!!

Jimmie you've answered your own question ............read it back out loud and you'll see it's full of doubt......It's really very simple hon........you're not ready yet..............when it happens it'll happen but make sure you are prepared..........don't over stress it though, it ain't like the movies but it should be loving and fun........don't do it just to make him happy though.....that's important.......remember he's the lucky one......lol......

i know what i wrote is full of doubt, and that i shouldn't let myself be pressured, buti can't help it. i think that i might be ready, and if i wait until i'm positive then it'll never happen. plus, it's not like my boyfriend and i just got together last week, we've been dating for almost two years....neverhteless, i don't want to jump into...or onto for that matter ...anything i'm not sure of. thanx for the wonderful advice, it really gives me something to think about...maybe i'll even make him read it...
